There hasn't been a single suspect this gen that wasn't a foregone conclusion.
I feel like they need to suspect more often instead of just reserving it for things that'll obviously be banned.

Choice band sets often run drill run, which can cause some problems, especially if Mosa is adamant or there are hazards in play

The thing has base 151 speed, it invalidates anything that can't take two hits off of 137 base attack and special attack.
It incentivizes stall because things like toxapex and clefable are the only things that can repeatedly take its hits.

we havent had a defensive pokemon banned in 5 years and that obvious bias has colored the last 3 generations in a very unfun way

85% ban vote, absolutely laughable waste of time. The lethargic OU council will never understand the point of suspect tests is not to test stuff everybody who actually plays wants gone. It's supposed to test stuff that is somewhat contentious but not so downright broken that it has to go without question. These vanity suspect tests are a bad joke. Absolutely nothing has been accomplished that couldn't have been accomplished with a simple quick ban.

I am so sick and tired of useless suspect tests that don't appeal to anyone but people who don't play. How about fixing the tier, quickbanning shit that has no place in OU and then suspect testing stuff that is actually worth testing and won't get ridiculous 80%+ ban votes?

Blaziken is honestly a little underrated. It's a main victim of 20 other broken Pokemon being allowed at the same time, some of which still outspeed it even after speed boosts. The most notable offender just got banned. Pheromosa being gone also means people are less pressured into running shit like Toxapex. I think we'll be seeing a bit of a resurgence. As long as the broken Regenerators are in the tier + always have to worry about being worn down by everything I don't think it will ever truly be dominant but it's not exactly "shit".

Definitely was broken in the previous gens though. Anybody who thinks gen 8 Blaziken means it should retroactively be looked at in the previous gens is insane.

Something strong but not broken will be quickbanned before SPL because the tourneyfags threw a tantrum, and retested almost immediately afterwards.
Alternatively, it's something broken (potentially something Mosa kept in check), but it gets retested anyway.

Stallmons don't give a fuck about speed and are actually bulky enough to survive its attacks.
Whereas offense mons just get outsped and destroyed.

Almost zero chance anything gets quickbanned before SPL. It's starting very soon. Pheromosa was obviously intended to be the last pre-SPL ban. I'd be very surprised if something else gets banned before the tournament is over.
