Being able to catch trade evolutions directly in G8 is a good idea.
They're artifacts of the era when trading was supposed to make you socialize, but now you can trade with random stranger from across the world, they should be retconned.

All multiplayer went to shit with the internet desu.
Trading used to be about sharing Pokemon with your friends, now getting a Pokemon from a stranger on the other side of the planet is functionally no different to just injecting it.
Battling was fun to see who was the best in your friend-group/class, but making a full ranked matchmaking system just turns the whole thing into endless metagaming garbage.
