VBA not loading save file

>Decided to play some more
>Load up Yellow
>VBA wont load .sav
>Load the day battery option or what ever and choose my .sav
>Still wont load and only shows "new game" option
Anyone know how to fix this?

Yeah VBA is old and outdated, switch to VBA-M or MGBA and this wont happen

That happened to me with the same game but I closed the emulator and re-opened it and my save came back. Idk what happened, VBA is prolly just buggy.
