A lot of vp tendencies belong to a surprisingly small subset of the board who take the 4chan culture so seriously it warps their opinions and polarizes them to be like this, the smarter ones don’t mean anything they say at all. Some of them genuinely despise Kanto but that’s mostly zoomer cope and a little hint of truth to it being overrated.

For me too. The beautiful gen 3 shiny, vibrant, 16 bit graphics and sprites, the awesome additions of gen 3 with abilities, and the super fast battle system, and my favourite region, Kanto. It can't get better than this.

I always say it in every frlg thread; 8.5/10 games. Had they included a Johto postgame as expansive as Kanto in GSC they would have been 9.5/10

They really should have done it. They even took the time to remake some of the jhoto town themes in the sevi Islands. This also reminds me of those 3rd Gen era fangames based on jhoto. So much fucking soul
