Ironically Pyroar works better with physical moves in Pokemon go then again there's no physical/special split in go, for attack or defense.

Yeah, Speed is decided by the move, not the Pokemon. Everything regenerates energy at the same rate, and moves are balanced by how much energy they cost to use. Physical and Special are just Attack and Defense.
