Thinking now about the time I read a guide on a geocities fan site on how to catch pokegods where someone said you had to open your cartridge and “remove the big black chip” because GF put it there to block the pokegod sprites, which was why missingno sprite was glitched. Absolutely devilish.

I admit I surfed there using the trick, but there was so much bullshit surrounding that damn truck that I never expected to actually find anything.

They likely never will, but the most likely reason is that it was to be cut from the game but the guy who made it liked it so much so he planted it somewhere he didn't think people would see it but it would still be in the game. There was in an unused town in the beta leaks that had the truck present on its map.
