They could lure you to dark places (dark alleys, caves, desolated places etc) where they ambush you several vs 1.
They start rumors about you, making difficult for you to get things gifts and some vendors sells you things more expensively because your bad fame. Part of the game could be dispel those rumors.
The roadblocks could be on purpose and done by Team Yell.
They even could appear inside gyms to hinder things to you. 1 grunt could appear in the path to the field after you pass the gym test.
