Weakness Policy Gmax Coalossal
Dragapult surfs turn 1 as Coal maxes. It takes the surf, it procts its weakness policy AND steam engine at the same time giving it +2 SpA and +6 speed, outspeeding almost anything and hitting it like a truck.

Not much reason to. It's got a 4x weaknesses so it's pretty easy to KO even while Gigantomaxed as long as you can outspeed it. And Coalossal's base speed is so low that an Iron Ball knocks its +6 speed down so low you can pretty easily outspeed it. Faster to just kill the fucker.

You have to live to use any of those moves. Politoed has Icy Wind, and while not as reliable he at least has MUCH better bulk and neutral typing to benifite his bulky nature to do anything.

The format is made to be accesible to other players who just start that generation. It would be an amazingly steep hill if lil Timmy had to find himself a Pokemon from gen 3 with some obacure tutor move, and mythical legends are a more tame example of that.

Pretty much. Coalossal can't OHKO Dusclops, even at +2, so you can just setup TR, then Haze next turn, but by Hazing you then reset its +6 speed to +0, making it fast in TR again which can still cause issues.

Mythicals aren't banned because of power, they're banned because of availability. You should be able to purchase the current game and only the current game, attend no events, get no mystery gifts, and have full access to all VGC legal Pokemon for the current series.
