>>45750009To me the first version goes with what most media portrays Pokemon as doing (saying variations of it's name), but it's doing so in such a way that it's basically giving a warrior like chant. It sounds more like a battle cry, or at least as close to one as a Kommo-o can get, and I think it really establishes that Kommo-o is intended to be a tribal warrior who relishes in combat. It's still goofy by virtue of it still being formed from meshed-up parts of it's name, but I feel like in the context of the situation and franchise (the Totem-Sized Kommo-o is rushing you down for a full-on brawl and is so battle hungry that trying to ignore it by leaving without fighting has the game imply it will MAUL THE PLAYER for the disrespect if they don't turn around), it really adds to the fight that follows.
In USUM, though, the chant/battle cry is just replaced with a two-syllable "Sou-ound". It gives the impression that he's just kinda bored. There's nothing threatening about it, it's just impossible to take seriously and feels extremely lame and uninspired.
