use the "save search" feature on ebay and check it frequently for new listings - eventually, someone who doesn't know what they have will make a cheap listing. I've scored many times this way.

You can find copies for the price of a full priced new console game release, which isn't too bad but still annoying since it isn't really worth that much

just look for a european copy. our copies are still below the american prizes, even with shipping costs, and barely anyone bootlegs our copies. and the pokéwalker has all (relevant) languages programmed anyway.
