Have it embrace buge by receiving Quiver Dance, now with Scorching Sands as special STAB.
Or just give it Sand Stream. Imagine sand having Defog/U-turn/Tailwind support all on one mon like Pellpper did for rain.

One of my favorite 'mons, such a shame it's just a subpar Garchomp.

If they made it a primarily special attacker by swapping it's attack and special attack stats and giving it a setup move like Quiver Dance, it would've given it a unique niche.
