>>45770762It's fine, I don't really care how long it lasts right now I just want to find a setup that works. If it dies out I'll reboot in the spring like you suggested
>>45770838>>45770996>>45771378The reasoning behind lowering the spawn rate and turning off announcements is to prevent every single player on the server from having legendaries. I wanted them to be actually legendary, and for players to be genuinely excited to discover one. It's not the same if you're alerted to their location and told where to go with Gameshark. What do you guys think about this compromise -- I'll jack up the spawn rate a little but keep announcements off? Or, I could run the same settings as the Pixelmon SMP server I linked earlier as apparently it works well for them:
>Default Pixelmon settings are set so that Legendary Pokémon has a 30% chance to spawn every 20 minutes, assuming the correct spawn conditions are met.>On PokéWorld SMP, Legendary Pokémon instead have a 45% chance of spawning approximately once every 80 minutes, only that the spawns are NOT announced in chat. In other words, you'll have to pay attention if you want to catch a legendary! The rationale for turning off starters was to make people run more varied teams. If it really bugs people I can turn them back on.
>>45771084Thanks, will keep that in mind.
>>45771318I can put them on a timer, tho the worry is that they'd just be farmed over and over.
