I mean Tauros was still okay in gen 2, considering its BL.

I'd say that Persian had a much harsher fall, it was NEVER relevant again in ANY tier after gen 1.

Talonflame is fine now.
Look at the current gen 6 OU and you'll see that even Smogon has gotten over the Smogonbird.
It's still good, but not the godlike presence it was before people learned to handle it.

This is the same company that claimed they never thought people would use special moves with Aegislash - despite it having a base Sp. Atk of 150. And that think Rock/Steel is the ultimate defensive typing. And that refuse to make fairly distributed non-recoil physical Electric-type moves. And that made Frosmoth's stats sub-500 despite it needing more to compensate for its dogshit typing. And that didn't let Dragapult learn fucking Shadow Claw, despite it getting Dragon Claw. And that didn't let Dragapult learn Earthquake. And that thought Water-types needed a STAB move that has the same burn rate as Fire Blast. And that made Fairy resist Bug for no reason.

There's a Ground version of Scald now. It's one of the reason's Moltres is OU now since along with Mystical Fire it now has a way to deal with phys or special mons
