PMD is stuck in a weird limbo were its too hardcore for nintendrones but too babby for roguelike fans. If anything the fact that it consistently breaks 1 million copies is pretty great even if thats solely because of the Pokemon branding

It isn't much to change the original graph but googling a bit says that DX actually sold 1.26 million as of march which is slightly higher than super and it's likely to sell more since it isn't as dated. I wouldn't say it failed.
