Allow the player to assemble a rental team with baked-in perfect IVs and the ability to tweak its stats, moveset, and hold item to their leisure, with the option to save every custom rental mon & loadout and share them online for other players to try out.
The caveat would be that rentalmons can't be transferred to a mainline/adventure game. Now people who enjoy the grind can choose to grind, while people who care about competitive but don't want to play fanfic meta have something official to play.
