Other than that, it's based on Zhang Fei (a chinese military general known for being arrogant, 'brutal, impetuous, heartless and his barbaric behaviour, Moreover, he would deal out far too excessive punishments to his men and got killed by his own subordinates). Emboar may aso be based on Zhu Bajie, a pig demon from the Chinese tale Journey to the West. Its ogre-like appearance also helps, so i don't see why dark wouldn't be fitting.
