i always thought Dawn and Lucas could be a thing as well since Team Galactic grunt or admin was teasing them and asking if they were dating or something like that. Plus in the manga I think Dia had a think for Platinum.

Lyra was related the day care couple, and they even asked if Ethan was her BF (dunno what they say to Ethan if Lyra is the player character). Lyra didn't deny he was... But most likely there's nothing romantic to it (yet).

Modern Pokemon games tease many characters with the player. Hop eating from the player's hair in the DLC, Marnie's line about the move Bite expressing her feelings toward you and then how later in the game she becomes your cheerleader for a time, followed by how she smiles if you partner with her for the Galarian Star Tournament. Nessa has a flirtacious line toward the player if you talk to her on the Isle of Armor and even before that she seemed to develop an intense interest in the player after they beat her. And Bea has a line hinting that she has a thing for the player if you pair with her for the Galarian Star Tournament.
