Worst gen 2 gym by far

The Johto gyms in general are pretty underwhelming. Low levels, mostly Kanto Pokemon.

There’s also Pryce’s ice gym in Johto. The gimmick floor with ice is OK, but the boss fight is absolutely fucking pathetic, not to even mention that you’re most likely overleveled at that point because of the silly level curve of Johto games.

And Kanto gyms in GSC and remakes? Not gonna even mention them, it would be cheating.

Except most Johto Leaders barely use KANTOOOO. If they used Johto Pokemon they'd probably be stronger. Replace one of Jasmine's Magnemite with a Skarmory,.The fully evolved Johto Bugs would be better than Kanto cocoons, and why the hell does Chuck only have two Pokémon, add a Hitmontop to his team.

I remember struggling more with Morty's Gengar using Hypnosis-Dream Eater on my mons on my first Crystal playthrough. Once I discovered Kadabra though the game was no longer even a challenge.

Surge, Blaine, Pryce, Chuck, Flannery, Wattson, Fantina(DP), everything in gen 6 and if they count the electric trial in sm.

I tried to think of gyms that were braindead easy for their point in the game or had shit gimmicks. I didnt count first gyms because of it. Havent played gen 8.

They got real lazy with the last 2 gyms. It's just "fight trainers" with no puzzle or gimmick.
