>>45800216> It's easy as heck to make a discord account. You don't even need to register an emailMaking the discord account is not the problem on it's own
>Is that degree of info sharing necessary at all?Nothing is necessary, but if you wanted to keep the same sort of vibe the project it had on /vp/ then having the discussions open would help.
>That's literally how conversations work but okayI guess, but asking random questions with no context about what the greater focus is at the moment seems derailing / distracting.
> This is literally only an issue because anons are too comfy in their dens to use other sites, which loops us back to the beginning of my postI don't think this is the reason. Every single step you add between the user and their end-goal (end goal in this case being contributing to the project) affects the rate of how many users actually reach that end-goal.
While each of these individual points not be a huge problem on it's own, they each compound on each other and reduce the amount of potential people who are engaged with the project.
But like I mentioned, that might be your end goal, to control the amount of feedback you're getting, and if so, then that's fine. It's your prerogative. However, it's just a shame for people who followed / contributed to the game on /vp/ years ago.
