I'm genuinely curious as to what it is Pokémon feel like they owe humans to do their bidding. How do they manage to draw the line between doing whatever it is Pokemon do in the wild and serving their lives to a human trainer? Are we looking at a "the cow that wants to be eaten" situation applied to "the Pokémon that wants to be caught"? Is it that they all posess battling as an inherent basic primal instinct? How well do they adapt from life in the wild to building trust into their trainer?
What about being passed around between trainers? How quick are they to build the same bond between them and another completely unknown trainer? Have there been any documented cases of Pokémon revolting besides the very obvious pic related?
As it's been proven time and time again these are semi sentient creatures and can reach human intelligence with relative ease, how is it that they manage to see themselves in this Trainer/Pokémon relationship as equals?
