If you lived in the pokemon world, which pokemon would be your starter? Why? What would be the story about how you got them?
I'll start.

It's my favourite pokemon. Basically because of Brock's croagunk. I like his design a lot, his typing is cool, and I really loved how in the anime they showed that out of all the pokemon they tested with the poketch app thing, croagunk loved his trainer the most.
Story would be that me and a friend were playing near a lake and accidentally went off the regular path. We get attacked by some angry pokemon and the croagunk jumps in and saves us, then proceeds to show us the way back.
I get back home and see it followed me, so I ask my parents if we can keep him. Dad catches him and gives me the pokeball. He never evolves and becomes my ace and an all around badass. I love him very much and he loves me too.
