The remakes were delayed

Much like how Go and the original Let's GO were revealed during the Pokémon Press Conference, Pokemon Sleep was also revealed there in 2019.
The Sinnoh remakes were planned to be revealed in the same manner for 2020 alongside the expansion pass, but obviously the pandemic fucked things up there. The press conference was instead split into shorter presentations throughout the year, with Sleep and the Sinnoh remakes being pushed to 2021 instead.
The trailer for the expansion pass was initially meant to tie in with the remakes. They did this with Pokken and USUM but obviously after changing this they spliced it from the trailer (this is actually still evident in the direct which is hilarious).
Sleep will tie-in to the remakes with a Darkrai event in a similar vein to the Melmetal one between GO and LGPE. This is the new standard style for remakes and seems to put its own spin on events from other older games with Pikachu and Eevee at the focal point.

You can probably expect that they won't be compatible with swsh and obviously won't have all the Pokemon. Galarian forms are in. Dynamax raids are out to not take away from SWSH sales so that both sets of games can be given equal attention.
They're okay but still prepare for a lot of deflection and damage control. That's it btw i'm done with this shit.
