N has the weirdness of being a recluse who barely interacts with people but managed to beat the Gyms with wild pokemon he met, not random given what we see of them in BW2 when we get them, and best an admittedly weakened league with his legendary, being only confirmed Champ to use one, and after a time skip managed to build strong season based teams to just give the legend away. If he got a PWT like quote of "The man who can talk to pokemon to gather the strongest and work with them perfectly" I would put him at the top above even Red's wank but all we know is he's well above average trainer and planner with those season team.
And for people going Leon, we have no idea what the average Champion strength is for Riahan to beat, like if the games only show the strongest and most are weaker than Lance and fucking Diantha then Riahan is only most other regions E4 level... Like 8th gym leaders already are with Clair statement and more concrete Gen 4 Bromance of electric and fire bring equals. We just don't have the measure for him yet especially as other details of their league may indicate this is baseless hype.
Strongest Champion and Trainer overall is whatever protag has strongest lore mandatory capture, so USUM with Ultra Nuzlocke ender for now and may change to Gen 4 remakes depending.
TLDR N is our Superman of depending on specific details, if we use animated series(S)/just very good trainer (N) they lose to all major Gokus/Weakest of three but if we use Strange visitor(Cosmic armour unfair)/Perfect trainer they beat even Video game Gokus/come out on top.
