>way too many Pokémon, literally only just reached the wild zone and already have 20+ Pokémon, hard to actually care about any of them because there's so many >with forced exp share, everything is levelling up so quick, I already feel overleveled. I have been much higher level than every single trainer so far >because they are all leveling so quick, I'm learning so many moves and shit it's hard to keep up. I have no attachment to anything, I don't know what moves are good, I don't even have a chance to try them before learning so many more, I've already had to replace moves with a 5th move several times already without even getting a chance to try that Pokémon to know which moves to replace >I already have an electric, ice, dragon, ghost, dark, and fairy etc. Pokémon half an hour into the game I mean am I being a bitch or are these valid complaints?

You're being a bitch. For once since BW2 SwSh actu5 gave good team building choice. Probably the one thing it did right and it's filtering you because you need to be railroaded down a traditional path of progression. I am still pissed about the EXP share but I just rotated a team of 7/8 for the first half and used a different team when I was catching Pokémon.

>chose to catch that many pokemon of that many types >chose to keep them in your team and let them get exp/lvl/moves rather than R-boxing anything you don’t need there is literally nothing pushing you to make these choices. if you want to keep your team simple then just do it. if an option exists you don’t HAVE to take it.
Anonymous
>>45802391 I think this is one of the strengths of swsh actually. There's tons of variety so multiple playthroughs can be very different and you have lots of options to build a team your way. Exp share makes it so you're actually encouraged to keep using different pokemon instead of sweeping things with only a few.
Anonymous
i wish they made it easier to distinguish new mons i tried to use a team of exclusively gen 8 mons and i unknowingly used 6 and 7 mons because so many of them just fucking blend together
Anonymous
>>45802391 There are far better criticisms of the games than stupid shit like "Too many options! Too much variety".
It's 2020 and the BASE games do not allow pokemon to follow their trainers. Pokemon models are just the same models from Sun and Moon (which are the same as X and Y). Buggy animations and stiff movements from the biggest franchise on the planet. There is no excuse, I've played better knock offs with more love put into them.

>>45802391 no, these are legitimate complaints. Choice paralysis is a very real thing. if they just throw a hundred different options at you then of course you'd start making choices passively not giving the game much thought.
early game dragon types are cringe btw.

Taking a few minutes out to look at your options is something that you can do. But I guess the game doesn't tell you to do that so it's too confusing.

>>45802391 My best guess is they assume that due to having so many options and the exp. share they want you to be constantly switching out for different pokemon as you go, they just failed to give a reason to do so.
I didn't particularly like being flooded with pokemon so early, it made me feel I was obligated to catch them all right then and then they had the gall to have wild pokemon you couldn't actually catch.

Island DLC is a start, but the game should have been based on the idea that you needed to go to a variety of outlying islands to meet different species.

>>45802391 These would be valid complaints if they were real. SwSh is the first game since D/P where I wasn't consistently over leveled and learnsets have been pared down to almost gen 2 levels of anemia. Some mons have to wait until well into the 30s and 40s for their harder hitting moves if you're not raiding for TRs. The game is bloated with mons though, I've never played a title where trying to find a 15% spawn could end up being such a chore.

So why can't pokemon follow you in the main region after doing the DLCs? Is gamefreak unable to code the models to walk behind you exactly like in the extra areas? They even walk way too slow no matter what and are off the screen in seconds. This game is so disappointing in just about every way.

>>45803843 They deliberately locked the following mons behind the DLC as further incentive to buy it. The worst part is that the following mons in the DLC are so piss-poorly coded that they're constantly trapped in a rubberbanding teleport to keep up with you.

the games are better with less, but not designed choices. Your team should matter, instead of having so many that the have can't possibly design enemies that feel interesting. They should have gone further with the dex cut.

You're a huge bitch if you think having wide variety of monsters and moves to choose from as early as possible is a bad thing, but if dragging shitmons around is more your speed then stick to catching whatever you find in the proper routes.
