I forgot to make an exception for swampert. see, I intended to make this thread an hour ago, but something came up, so I rushed to the point that all physical water starters (barring Swampert) aren’t as good as physical water non-starters.

with that said... the ground typing is what really helped Swampert, and the new flip turn move from the IoA move tutor.

Feraligatr, the only other physical water starter besides swampert (which you've claimed doesn't count) isn't great but it isn't bad
Floatzel is physical and it is bad
Qwilfish is physical and it is bad
Basculin is physical and it is bad
Huntail is physical and it is bad
Relicanth is physical and it is bad
Carracosta is physical and it is bad
Bruxish is physical and it is bad
Drednaw is physical and it is bad
hell, the other vish fossil is physical and it is bad
if you think these are usable and not bad, then both of the physical water starters are incredible

you may be the dumbest anon on /vp/, which is one hell of an achievement

All the standard abilities, i.e. Overgrow/Blaze/Torrent, should be replaced with the current HAs of the starters, and then provide them with new HAs.

For example; Typhlosion’s standard ability will now become Flash Fire, while Drought becomes its new HA.

and even then you're retarded, because Qwilfish can sweep on rain deams by virtue of Swords Dance, a fast Swift Swim, Explosion and Waterium Z.

Water was a special type in gen 3, and Swampert ranged from special attacker, mixed attacker, and defensive mon in his native gen.
And gen 3 was by far the best gen for Swampert.
