I've been hesitating for the last few weeks. I loved the originals and Explorers aswell, but for some reason I can't seem to fully make the decision to buy this one.

If you enjoyed the originals you'll love the remake because it reduced the tedium without casualizing the game. Postgame is one of the hardest in the series and you'll probably still need to be rescued during the campaign even if you use cheese strats.
It's a good time.

I'm liking the Switch a lot desu. I made the jump this summer after 2 and a half years of USUM and wanted to continue playing Pokemon on the Switch. Being able to change between the better experience of TV or the comfiness of handheld at any moment is pretty based.

I bought it cause I have nostalgia for the first game and man it's so much easier than I remember it being. It's also shorter too I beat it in like 12 hours. I enjoyed playing it but I kinda regret buying it. The postgame isn't really all that interesting either since your two bros just stop being characters entirely and it just becomes about pointlessly grinding for legendaries.

Super is the better game but RTDX is way harder than any other game in the series DESPITE the casualizations.

Adding a 'game plays itself' button to the dungeons is a textbook example of "casualizing the game".
