They don't give a fuck what (You) think as long as their number one goal is fulfilled. Maybe 25 episodes is a bit too short considering the scope the anime usually goes for, but imo something like 52 episodes is more than enough to tell a compelling narrative about Ash's journey through a region without having copious amounts of monster of the week fillers, plus cutting down on Team Rocket a lot which in my book would be pretty good.

Back when Gen 5 was the most recent gen they were easily the best part of each season, but I feel like since then they've really gotten their act together with Ash's character and his journey, so now instead of them being what you look forward to you dread them cause theyre complete pace breakers for the story you're actually trying to enjoy.

Actually, Mewtwo Evolution was the fourth worst-performing movie in Japan. The worst was the Volcanion movie, followed by Hoopa's, and then the Latis'.
