I really enjoyed Unova Gold. It's a completely revamped region with new stationaries, dialogue, etc. You can buy TMs as you progress. The level curve goes up to 100 IIRC. It's really clever and well-done. It's also super fucking long. I'd give it an 8/10, it's even more fun randomizing it.

Prism is good but be warned that many cave dungeons are super tedious. You will ALWAYS need an electric/fire pokemon in your team to progress at all.

Gaia is pretty great, it includes pokemon up to gen 6, has a pretty good difficulty curve, and has a nice level of polish that you don't see in most hacks. The towns, routes, etc. are all original but still feel like an authentic pokemon experience.

Blazed Glazed is pretty good and complete, currently playing Altered Emerald and so far there is a lot of quality of life improvements like free non-gated ability switching and rebalancing of shitmons to try to make them better which is really refreshing - special attacker Pidgeot with delta stream is pretty funny so far. Not sure how well balanced it is on the whole.

I'm playing Blazed Glazed right now. Just beat the 2nd gym and my only problem is that the levels seem a little harsh. The gym leader's pokemon was Lvl 24 and my highest was 19

I've never read that before. It's just a gen 6 update with reorganized pokemon and teams as far as I know. At least thatwas the impression I got when I downloaded it.

I heard lots of goods things about it. But when I played it there had been Grammar issues everywhere and each trainer encounter had the same 4 Pokémon. Not to mention the terrible balancing.
