>>45812459It's ok but has so many fucking issues that it feels like a huge misstep. Playing with the pokemon isn't as fun or interesting as playing Minigames with them like in Gen 6, and honestly feels dumb as hell (going from solving puzzles and gathering food to playing with cat toys).
Removing the ability to pet them is also really, really fucking bad, and animations in the game seems to suggest that, again, it was supposed to be in there but got cut. Petting pokemon really helps with immersion, so the lack of it is both jarring and makes camp feel bare.
Combine that with the shitty pathfinding in the AI, dumb camp events, shitty curry system and awful curry dex, etc, and, well...
Camp could've been good, but it's not.
