When Pokemon X/Y came out I was finally able to transfer my favorite Pokemon (a Ninetales from my Diamond version) to X, and for the first time I was able to pet him. It made me so happy I cried.

The only Pokemon related memory I have worth sharing is the one I'm making right now. I lost interest in the series after S/M and stopped caring about it for awhile, but I started Blaze Black this year and have been enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. I don't have the energy to do much these days and I've mostly dropped all my other hobbies, but Pokemon strikes the perfect balance between engaging and comfortable.

About to finish up the main game, to be honest I've been putting it off for awhile now. I don't want it to end, why does he have to leave me ;_;

I’m 10. A very lonely 10, so lonely that I often cried about it. But I had Pokémon, and one friend who played it with me, so my parents decided to give a shit once in their life and support my love for the series.

They surprise me by buying me a copy of crystal! I tear it open the way only a ravenous child can and immediately pop it in...but I read the manual and box first. It was special you know?

That quiet ride home, with the sounds of crystal pumping out of the backseat as a played under the passing street lights, was truly one of the best moments of my childhood. The music sticks with me to this day - a detail that I remember because my dad specifically turned the car music off so I could hear it.

I’m 30, married with three kids, and my parents are much easier to love now that they are dead. But this moment is my moment I want to share with you.

I got Pokemon Pearl Version a week before my 16th birthday. My dad owned a steel fabrication company and had a customer in Hawaii begging him to come supervise some ongoing work and he managed to get them to put the whole family up in exchange for his help. I managed to catch Palkia and beat the Champion while having my own personal edventure " a world away."
The rest of my birthday trip absolutely sucked btw, dad took the car keys swimming in the ocean and the car refused to work in the parking garage on the day of my actual birthday as well as the only thing available to eat was Jack in the Box. But I digress....

White 2 was the game that solidified Azumarill as my favorite Pokemon. That one shot Super Power to Kyurem that turned it's face into hot plasma from the force of impact with my Blue Bunny's fist shall never be forgotten.
