>>45821195To elaborate, my team at the time was:
>Gengar, who ran Trick Scarf to cripple any setup sweepers or outspeed and kill shit. I think I also put Destiny Bond on him to sacrifice against shit the team had no other way to kill.>Weezing, who's bulky as fuck and could wall most physical attackers after Will O Wisp. >Tentacruel for special bulk. Ran Mirror Coat on it. Also, it had Hail because nobody ran Hail teams, so it could shut off the other three perma-weathers once I killed their setter. (Sun teams, in particular, tended to cause problems for the team if I couldn't get rid of it)>a pretty standard Swords Dance Toxicroak>a Sheer Force Nidoking who ran nothing but coverage moves>a gimmicky-ass Drapion with Acupressure, Whirlwind, Knock Off, and EarthquakeYou had to plan ahead exactly how you were going to counter each Pokemon on the opponent's team, which is why the sets are so gimmicky. If the opponent had even one Pokemon you had no answer for, you just lost. (thankfully, the ONLY Pokemon in the meta you'd see that had both Ground and Psychic coverage was non-T Landorous, and he was very rare)
