i like the idea of regional variants, i think its better than multiple very similar birds pokemon or fuck knows how many moths
nu gamefreak has a weird bad art philosophy, drawing from the worst of the old designs (the easiest to draw) and not from the best (the hardest to draw)

Alolan Sandslash came in clutch during my last playthrough of shield though. The defensive qualities allowing for setup into high flinch chance stab helped me cost past more gyms than i had a right to.

They should reboot the series so that only Pokemon from gens 1,2 and 7 are in and then use only regional variants for new games with only a few new Pokemon to ensure good designs

Regional forms are just GF’s way of diversifying Gen 1’s roster by adding types that were either extremely rare or nonexistent. Hence why Dark, Fairy, Ice, Steel, and Fighting get so many.
