I can tell you a boat load of ones from 3rd gen but after that, not so much. I mean, there are Game Theory levels of bullshit like "this character was really a ghost", but noting like the secret green pokemon that you got if you leave Latios and Latias in the daycare.

and given how glitchy pokemon red and blue were it really wasn't hard to believe some of the stories, hell my and my friends used to make up stories for fun and try to trick other kids and im sure i fell for some bullshit stories back then

I remember a brief influx of rumors shortly after XY's release when people were first made aware of the Mythicals but that's the last one I can think of.

I unironically miss the Gen 1 days. I spent a lot of in-game time doing some of this inane shit for no payoff but I miss the feeling that these games were so much more than met the eye.

You couldn't just datamine Red/Blue/Yellow as easily as you can now. Not to mention there isn't any time to have rumors. Sword and Shield's dex was out I think two weeks before the game came out, and Sun and Moon's ENTIRE GAME SCRIPT with Pokemon was out a week before launch.
