Mewtwo is literally one of the lamest legendary to exist. I'm not saying that because he's bad, I'm saying that because it's not much to him. When he was first introduced, it was special, super strong pokemon that make you go, "I NEED IT!!!!". Nowadays, you have other legendaries that seem so much cooler.

What does Mewtwo have? Nothing. It's just strong and it's not even the strongest anymore. Seriously, the introduction of other legendaries killed the once special Mewtwo. He's only popular nowadays because of Nostalgia.

All wrong. The points you make to defame Mewtwo are rather a part of its appeal. Legendaries turned to shit when they became gods and embodiments of concepts. There is such a thing as trying too hard, jumping the shark, too much of a good thing, to cross over into stupidity, and that's exactly what such a huge chunk of nulegends do. They're highly unappealing because of it. Mewtwo's backstory as an abomination of science that went horribly right is way more interesting than all that autistic god shit.
