They have porn and masturbation for sexual intimacy, and as shallow as it is, it makes up for most of young men’s emotional needs. So the risk - reward ratio is skewed, where the reward is small compared to the risk, not because having a female romantic partner isn’t fulfilling, but because men can fulfill that urge in other ways easily and reliably. Thus, the reward no longer equals, or is similar to the risk of rejection and the things that can come with it.
