>>45845616You do realize that EXP scaling is a thing? Or did they remove that from SS, again. I know they took it out of XY, probably because of complaints about it. I can understand why, it's a pain to level up Pokemon in the postgame because there's not many good trainers and it gets harder to level up. But then they brought it back in SM, even though there's something that requires reaching level 100. That having been said, EXP scaling is pretty good as a soft level cap of sorts, it keeps you from overleveling too much accidentally (or at least it did in BW and when you turn off EXP Share in SM). Ideally though, EXP scaling should be optional, or at least they should allow you to turn it off in postgame if they do force it on you. That way, you can level up low level Pokemon on high level postgame opponents, then turn it off to level the rest of the way. Of course, SM took a different direction, or at least from what I recall of USUM, and they just hand out rare candies. Interestingly, SS's EXP candies could sort of fit a similar role to Xenoblade 2's bonus EXP system, where it's optional if you think you need the level. There's nuance here, and I'm not entirely sure how to solve it.
