People shit on Gen 7 for railroading you and not allowing you to just explore or progress as you like, but FRLG managed to limit and restrict games that already existed as freely explorable. I'm not about to say they're as shit or restricted as Gen 7, but they are ironically far more limited than the original Gen 1, and that's an absolutely horrid approach for a remake to take. FRLG suck ass.

The only aspect of them that I find better than RBGY is that they're lacking in glitches. I actually found the glitches charming, but from an objective standpoint, they drag the game's actual quality as a completed product down. Outside of that and for having color as Gameboy Advance games, Red and Blue were just superior products to FRLG.

I count it as a spinoff yes, otherwise it'd be lower on my second list. Reason why 7 is on the complete bottom in the first list is because legpiss is the only spinoff in that entire generation, and gen 8 just having Snap 2 announced already puts it higher.

What about Pokken Tournament DX? Wasn't that released in 2017 or at least some time before legpiss came out?

That's a bit of a weird situation. I still mostly consider it a gen 6 game since it was one of those enhanced ports that Nintendo decided to do, and I don't overly care for battle games like that either.
