They didn't do it for the longest time, then they only gave measly 10 point stat bonuses to one stat (and distributed them bizarrely, like giving Alakazam a buff), then they would maaaaybe give a little more to certain Pokemon seemingly at random while absolute shitmons were left to rot
Dexit was a perfect opportunity to re-stat all the shitmons they brought back but they didn't. Pokemon like fucking Seaking were chosen to survive the purge and got a whopping 0 stat increases.
