Pic related is my Sword team. Bred over some Pokémon since they’re available way later than I’d like. Outside of Motostoke in the Wild Area atm.

Finally trained some newer gen Pokémon. Messed up and had to use berries to lower some stats because I haven’t EV trained without super training in years.

Illumise is excellent. Prankster Charm/Defog/Roost/Encore, also it got a little boost in attack and the fairy typing for this game.

Sort of an inside joke. Used to work at a Lexus dealership and we’d call that model ‘Big Bertha’ because of its size. Didn’t name it ´Big Bertha’ because I have a Kangaskhan named that already. Also, when I can’t think of a nickname, I name it after a model of car that it reminds me of.

Reference to Gibraltar from Apex Legends, not the territory lol. Kinda coincidence that Galar is based on the UK. It goes with Corviknight’s nickname as well since it’s also a reference to a raven from the same game.

Whew. It happened. I breezed through the first 3 of the Elite Four, Lorelei and Agatha on the first try and Bruno I think on the 3rd try.

It then took me about 30 attempts to beat Lance. He has a Primal Dialga which I had nothing to get around it. I finally got him in a loop of his Dragonite Outraging on the Volcarona, then switching into Illumise (fairy type in this), then him switching back into Melmetal and me switching back into Volcarona to take the double iron bash, fish for two burn chances, then roosting off the damage, and back into Dragonite. His Dialga is insanely beefy. It was taking me throwing 3 of my team at it to try and bring it down. I finally got it down low with Frosmoth, lined up the fell stinger and swept through with Beedrill.

I almost beat the champion on the first try until my +3 Beedrill ran into a choice scarf Ditto that took all my boosts and rammed them up my arsehole. Took 5 attempts to do the champ.

Beat Radical Red with just bugs.

Nope, rotational mono type runs is how I play Pokemon nowadays. Regular playthroughs are just boring and I am not a big fan of nuzlockes either.

If you are looking for game suggestions for a mono fire run, maybe try Ultra Sun/Moon. There are a bunch of unique fire type mons that can make for an interesting playthrough!

As for rom hacks, Unbound has a huge selection of mons to choose from (Gens 1-7) and the fire type selection greatly opens up after the first gym. Crystal Clear, even if the creator is a bit of a snob, also makes for fun mono type runs!
