So much is well done here. The concept flawlessly combines scuba gear, sea monkeys, and Creature from the Black Lagoon. The way the evolutions transition from goofy to sinister is great. The color palette is pleasing, and the artist clearly understands Pokemon design language. They've also totally nailed the traditionally awkward looking "teenage" middle starter evolution.
The final result is a cool looking monster that oozes personality without being a jobmon or furfagbait. I'd be proud to have him on my team.
