While I wish there were more quadrapedmons, I understand why there tend to be fewer of them lately. It's simply because there's only so much you can do with them. Like, it's harder to make moves for them and shit, whereas it seems a lot easier to make moves for bipedmons.

We aren't shitting on Samurott because it's quadruped and isn't humanoid; we also hate humanoid starters. We're shitting on it because of the middle ground: it's a quadruped done wrong.
It might function fine underwater, but on land where a majority of trainer battles take place, it looks absolutely horrid trying to wield a sword, and even more so when it's trying to dual-weild.
If it didn't have swords and just used its horn like a spear, as samurai would often use, Samurott would be 100% a good design.

It's a really cool design that was poorly implemented. It didn't help that his previous evolutions were bipedal. He could've easily been a 10/10 design with just one quick fix.
