Why go through the trouble? I recommend playing Polished Crystal which is just Crystal with all the QoL

I love Bellossum. For my Gold team though, I believe I actually just kept gloom until level 44, then evolved it. Though, you can actually just get sludge bomb at Lake of Rage, if I recall, and that is going to be her best attacking move any way.

Sunflora is funnier to play. It learns mega-drain and razor leaf at lvl 10 and petal dance at 31 and sunny day/solar beam late game
But if you want to keep your ugly plant then you better use sludge bomb at lake of rage
