They're supposedly descendants of the two youths that teamed up with the wolves to stop the original Darkest Day. However, to keep their fame and status as the descendants of heroes and kings their family tried to cover up the true history of the wolves existing by hiding the mural in Stow-on-Side and it's also probably why the one tapestry was attempted to be destroyed. They couldn't handle the fact that their ancestors were only glorified Pokemon trainers and not the actual heroes instead of the wolves. So when the truth comes out about the Darkest Day due to the events of the game and Sonia's book, they claim the protagonist stole their chance at glory and they weren't happy the wolves role in the original Darkest Day came to light. So they steal a ton of Wishing Stars from Sonia's lab and pelt one of the wolves with a ton of Galar particles to make it go berserk so it would hopefully rampage and cause people to think that the wolves couldn't possibility be the heroes of legend, but this plan failed since instead of rampaging the wolf tries to attack one of the twins. The protagonist steps in and saves them. They basically get arrested, but then do an apology tour along with declaring that the protagonist is the new royal of Galar. In Crown Tundra they've seemingly reformed and are the ones that funded the Galarian Star Tournament.
