NPCs having certain Pokemon is fine if they're after where the Pokemon are found.

Why is it so bad to have a teaser? When I see a trainer with a Tyranitar, my first reaction wouldn't be to shriek like an autistic chimp like (you) it would be "wow I wonder how I get something like that on my team."

I still remember that guy who was fucking angry about people giving Kecleon to Norman and how it stops being a special encounter on Route 120 it's not, it's a 1% encounter on 118, and then some anon killing him by posting a Lavaridge Gym Trainer with Kecleon.

I can confirm this is a thing.
For example in G3, most Trainers in the game use either Shelgon or Salamence, and you can't find either them in the wild.
There's exactly ONE Trainer thas has Bagon, and not only is it on optional Route, it's a Trainer that you might just miss if you don't explore everything. it's the route with water currents

So you'll still see Venusaur 2/3 of the time. Plus, it's a starter and a cover Pokemon so you'll know about it regardless. That leaves a whooping 2 Kanto Pokemons that wasn't used by NPC but all of whom has pre-evos that was used. This whole "discovering a new secret Pokemon species on your own" doesn't hold water does it?

Also technically there's more but who the fuck will count Dratini when you can buy it from Game Corner?
Golem, Venusaur, and the other fossil is a speciel case where not only you can't own it depending on your choices but nobody uses it so you can't have it as seen either.

This would be very fitting actually. Not only in that it's a kaiju and a dark type befitting a villain, but its ability is Sand Stream, which benefits almost all of his pokemon and refers back to his Ground-type past.
