Too slow and bait for adp, in the decks i built with it i found that if its supporting basics then the evo search options are dead and compete when doing a basic search and then in evolution decks it competes with the main attacker for searches.
If the game was slower like pre teamup then it would be hugely playable, i bought 4 of when it released expecting it to be zoroark/octillery pt2

I'm trying to think what cards will POSSIBLY be good for Rapid Strike Urshifu deck that I should buy in advance, so far I'm thinking:
-Jirachi-GX=Anti Psychic Weakness if Mew3/Dragapult is popular
-Stealthy Hood=To stop Bench Barrier Mew's ability from blocking your bench snipes.
-Marshadow with resetting hole=to get rid of Chaotic Swell so I can use the Tower of Waters Stadium more comfortably for the -2 retreat
-Telescopic Sight to snipe for 150 or 50 with the Promo Urshifus attack
-Bea and all the other fighting support because duh

Can you guys think of anything else?

Also is there something good in Standard I could switch into with the Strafe attack? Like there is Wobbuffet in Expanded, but is there anything useful for Standard other than Pokedoll? (and Empoleon when the set comes out)

I'm thinking either playing the Rapid Strike Urshifu with the Strafe + Empoleon/Lillie's Pokedoll.

or

Bea/Turbo Patch to try to attack for 150 or 90+20+20 (or 50+50 with Sight) turn-1 going 2nd and to also being able to do the Snipe VMAX Attack multiple turns in a row.

or turn-1 going 2nd and Mustard for the turn-1 VMAX for the 150

or a mix of few of these, any thoughts?

At least you can attach active. Good thing Venusaur VMax has a low attack cost and shaymin prism (can't be accelerated to either) didn't rotate. Tough luck for Dhelmise VMax and Rillaboom VMax.

Beas is an interesting choice now that rapid urshifu can have a little bit more consistency with kricketune and escape rope. I'll keep an eye out for if Bea drops in price since I still haven't completed my playset yet.

I'll probably just pick a few cheap VMaxs for profit and some SR items to hold value, likely metal saucer seems the safest. With the addition of healing, Scizor, Togekiss, and Malamar should eventually appear in some kind of deck. Grimmsnarl too, but it has an upcoming shiny.

Bench space is starting to get a bit tight with Eldegoss, Crobat, Dedenne, Kricketune and any support pokemon that your deck needs such as Oricorio, Frosmoth, goon, or Jirachi. It has the same effect as rose tower but can't be swelled.

Eternatus doesn't need hydreigon. That gets used with the dark tagteams. You don't need to be so afraid of crushing hammer that you start adding stage 2s and rare candies.

Eternatus will have a hard time fitting in Cheryl, Weavile, and Crobat VMax while staying consistent and hitting gusts when needed.

Promo box on march 5. Boltund V promo on feb 19. Various shiny reprints in shining fates on feb 19. Both are still over a month away and you can always sell off crobat or boltund in less than a day if necessary.
The impact of the promos depends on how much physical product is produced and distributed to stores. Dedenne is slowly recovering from the trainers toolkit 7 months ago.

Why? This seems kind of difficult to use effectively or is the translation not accurate? The Japanese card clearly has a "V" in the ability text, which is nowhere to be found in the English translations yet, but you'd have to put Mimikyu on your bench to active the ability, then switch it with your active and then also hope that your opponent doesn't have a boss. And then next turn it's gonna get killed anyway. Or am I missing something here?

It has to specify that the effect can only apply to mimikyu V so that you can't do something crazy like bench mimikyu, accelerate 5 energy, then Nanu into an invincible Yveltal or Sabletar.

This card looks cool with energy trans and exp share but it has low enough hp that it is probably outclassed by any amazing rare.

>Reshiram only needs 3 energy, can use welder for acceleration, weavile for trans
>Kyogre needs 4 energy, frosmoth for acceleration, bronzong for trans
>Raikou needs 3 energy, cherrim for acceleration, bronzong for trans
>Zacian, Zamazenta, and Rayquaza can probably get by with exp share

You might be able to get 1-2 VIV for each pack. The secret rares in that set aren't amazing and it has almost no legacy staples. Serperior, Reuniclus, and Ho-oh EX are the best cards.

I'd have to say Zamazenta is a lot better than you placed it. The only "bad" cards in it are Pawniard's line simply because of the effort it takes for them to do damage, but they can be decent in a pinch. Metal Saucer and Duraludon are excellent at getting Energy into play and make powering up Corviknight very easy. I find G-Darm in comparison to be very slow and inconsistent, due to the reliance on flips for attaching Energy and Bede taking up your Supporter. I feel like Necrozma should be higher as well simply for how well the deck is built around Energy discard. 160 damage on a Basic Pokemon is great, too.

I haven't played Zamazenta myself but I've stomped on it every time I've encountered it. I'll give it a try and see if my opinion of it improves.

I like the Necrozma deck I just find Necrozma itself is a bit too easily dealt with and is basically the only strong attacker in the deck. It is easy to cycle Necrozmas and energy as you said though.

You're right that I'm probably overrating G. Darmanitan though. It doesn't seem very good on paper but I've won a lot of games with it, so I'm biased.

Most people just aren't good at playing the Zamazenta deck and pointlessly put Pawniard onto the Bench, among other things. It's a pretty decent deck, and Zamazenta makes for a decent starter. As for Necrozma deck, I'd say Silvally pulls its weight, doing 120 and getting Energy into discard to recharge the Bench with. Gumshoos might not be too strong, but 90 for 2 energy is not half bad at all. Decent pivot if you need to get some damage in but don't want to potentially lose Necrozma or Silvally in the next turn.

to me necrozma is higher just for not needing to rely to much on finding evolution cards, you can win without finding your malamars
the only downside is it's damage output/ability to tank isn't enough if your opponent actually gets their stuff out before you start nuking everything

This is the real best theme deck. Half of the decks you'll run into in theme are Relentless Flame. Between the type advantage and Empoleon bench sniping things before they hit they hit the board it's almost an auto win if you know what you're doing and don't brick.

The amazing rares deck seems scary when they get the turn 1 rotom. But then again, I won with darkbox not even needing to put a VMax or tag team into play. If my opponent played koko prism, they probably would have not started passing after the first raikou went down.

And even if they did it would just result in pika and eternatus dominating everything with a small portion of lucmetal left. If you don't like it then just post the codes here cause only certain ones are worth selling really. They sell for pennies a pack.

From these packs you listed, most of the cards are not legal anymore to play in the Standard format of the game, which is the most popular way of playing it. From your list only Cosmic Eclipse, Unbroken Bonds, Team Up and Sword & Shield are playable in this format. The other ones aren't worth much I'd say.

This is just my personal opinion: The problem with trading in the TCGO is that the "currency" is basically only the most recent set (Vivid Voltage packs are like 90% of the trades, the rest is Darkness Ablaze or other singles). So personally I would open the sets that are not legal in standard anymore and hope for some secret rare item cards or some cards that are heavily played in the other formats of the game, where older cards are legal.

I've seen some people trade for Evolutions and Shining Legends, but maybe someone else can chime in on that.

I only have the six codes for sets that are standard legal. 83 codes are for legacy things. I might post mass code pictures, but the pulls you post are for my Goddaughter. I buy her packs when I watch her or we all go shopping together. She keeps the cards and doesn't want the codes. I don't know how to play, so what difference does it make to me? the secret rare golden item cards usually go for the most in the online game. The great catcher is like 18 packs. The bonkers ones are quick balls, reset stamps etc. though, that go for 100+.
