Guzma would be about to dismantle the Island Challenge and the Pokemon League out of revenge, but gets his shit slapped in and learns that he was in the wrong from the very person he had a grudge against rather than conceding after being beat by some kid he just met.
Ash winning was welcome, but of course the ONE time that the Pokemon League had high stakes plot significance due to the villain's involvement, Ash had to water it down.
