Vitamins have no cap in gen 8 so you can literally max EVs with Vitamins and you can farm money by selling items from Raids and Digging Duo.

Literally Gen 8 is the best generation for competitive because you can easily EV train with Vitamins, use Bottle Caps to max IVs, use Ability Capsule or Patch for the ability you want, use the daycare to pass Egg Moves from one parent to another, use Mints to change Nature, use Max Soup to change Gmax status, and Exp Candy to quickly Level up a Pokémon, also Rare Candies can Evolve Unevolved lv.100 Pokémon. It’s so easy now.

can never exist or else we'd have No Guard Fissure Machamp. Unless they go scorched earth on transfers again like they did in gen 3, but I don't think they ever will.

Other than that, yeah, jailbreaking your system and injecting will always be infinitely more practical than playing the game legit.

Anon, do you know what these words mean? They’re obviously asking for some system that makes changing your EV spread as easy as changing your moveset.
To use movesets as an analogy, it’s as if there is no move reminder, but there is an NPC that resets your Pokémon’s level to 1. So you’d have to retrain the Pokemon from 0 if you want to change which level-up moves it knows. Do you see how fucking dumb that is?

Are you daft?
The point of that post is NOT having to reset your EVs and start over again, but rather being able to selectively choose which EVs you earned are actually applied to the Pokemon's stats. Example: You could earn a maximum of 252 EVs for each stat, but you can only allocate the usual combined maximum of 510 EVs. You could then change them anytime while not in a battle, no resetting required. This means that earning any unwanted EVs wouldn't hurt your planned spreads and force you to reset EVs with berries or an NPC, and would also allow for a self-imposed "0 EV" challenge rule.

...now that I think about it, there would ALMOST be a way to do it. Since the vitamin cap is removed, you could use vitamins and the EV reduction berries to change your spreads in increments of 10 EVs. The problem is, they removed berry farming, so there’s no way to guarantee a steady supply of EV reduction berries.

in fact, it is prolly the easiest gen to train pokemon in with the addition of mints and hidden ability capsule, easy ways to pass egg moves and return of the EV resetter.

No, on IoA you could use them in the game but competitive would recognize the moveset or abiliity combo as illegal and block it. I had a Zeraora in Sword that I couldn't use in competitive because of the moveset it had.

In SwSh you can do it instantly and for free but it involve using the clock exploit for Poke Jobs, which quite honestly is how SwSh seems to be played given that people do it constantly for raid den spawns, item spawns like the mints etc.

It dropped Serious Mints alot but I almost never got the mints I needed from it. I resorted to just grinding BP from Restricted Sparring since it's faster that way than Battle Tower.
