Seems like a neat concept! Pacing and design stuff would be tricky to do for a dev team, because they would have to effectively ignore the random starter in terms of what you could have by x gym or y area. Would rivals have some coding magic to have an ace weak/strong to your starter? The possibilities are fascinating.
