Huh? If anything Excadrill nails the Gen 5 concept well. Being a little over designed with certain marks and zigzags but still having the “cartoon animal” simplicity of a Gen 1 Pokémon. At least it’s not a direct clone of Dugtrio as a mole Pokémon.

Plus this thing is actually effective in battle.

Sawk and Throh are pretty crazy in-game just because you can get them so early, before even the 2nd gym
any shortcomings later in the game are usually patched up by how many EVs they'll have as a result of being on your team since the early game

This thread got me to fire up a randomizer so I could start with Larvesta and replay White. Just got to Accumula, and fuck me man, this game had so much fucking S O U L. The piano and drum couple in the house that add to the already great background music was such an unnecessary, but excellent touch.

I beat Skyla in my first BW playthrough with Scraggy without having to switch once. Anything with Moxie is broken in-game.

Have you played a Pokemon game before? Most Water Pokemon are exactly where they always are- in the fucking WATER. Fishing and Surfing are the biggest source. No Pokemon game ever has a huge selection of Water types in grass.

I have and earlier gens had new water types in the grass and gave the player a rod early, apparently in bw2 you can find a gen5 water pokemon only after the fifth gym
