I bought a Switch for my wifes son a while ago, since he wanted to play super mario.

Is it possible to play trough pokemon sword with only pokemon from gen 1 and 2? I don't care about the retarded new pokemon

In theory, yes

I forget about the first 2 routes' offerings, but wild area offers machop, tyrogue, delibird, oddish, koffing, and some others at the very start that you can catch; after each badge you can get higher leveled mons, so you can go back for the onix you see when you enter, and eventually also growlithe and gastly and stuff

Vulpix on way to grass gym, diglett inside the cave and route past cave

you're gonna have to be ultra selective and deal with slim pickins sometimes though, so be aware of that

also koffing only evolves into its new form, so no kanto koffing

You get Surprise Trade when you make it to the wild area too, so you could also just catch stuff and trade it that way until you get gen 1/2, unless you don't have nso

I guess you can, SwSh has some Pokémon from every gen. I've not played the game but probably as soon as you get Pokéballs you can catch what you want, so you could do an "Only gen N" run.
btw there are new mons that look good or "similar" to gen 1-2 (Eldegoss is a tweaked Jumpluff, Coalossal is a bigger Rhydon on fire, Braviary is a giant bald eagle...
